Exciting Updates at COPAC: Streamlining Fees & Introducing Co-Requisite Classes!

We're always striving to provide the best possible experience for our dancers, and we're thrilled to announce some upcoming changes designed to offer greater value, flexibility, and focused learning at COPAC!

Starting June 10, 2024, we'll be transitioning to a billing system based on total time registered rather than a monthly per-class fee. This means you'll pay one cohesive fee for all your child's (or children's) dance classes each session.

Why the Change? This new approach provides several benefits:

  • Easier Budgeting: One predictable fee makes planning and budgeting simpler for your family.

  • Multi-Child Discounts: Families with multiple dancers will receive a built-in discount as the total time will be calculated for the entire family, offering a more cost-effective experience.

Performance Fees Included!
Here's a bonus perk! Our new pricing structure includes ALL performance fees. No more unexpected charges for your child to shine on stage! The only additional cost will be costumes for the December & June recitals!

What are co-requisite classes?
At COPAC, we're committed to providing a well-rounded dance education for all our students. That's why we're excited to introduce co-requisite classes! Co-requisite classes are two classes that are designed to be taken together. This means enrolling in one class requires enrolling in the other. By taking these classes together, your dancer will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of dance concepts: The co-requisite classes will complement and reinforce each other, creating a more holistic learning experience.

  • Develop essential skills across different areas: For example, a ballet class might be a co-requisite with a jazz class, allowing students to build strength and flexibility alongside their ballet technique.

  • Experience a seamless learning progression: The co-requisite format ensures students have the necessary foundation from one class before moving on to the next, maximizing their progress.

Benefits for your dancer:

  • Stronger foundation: Mastering the fundamentals in both co-requisite classes leads to a more solid foundation for future dance endeavors.

  • Improved technique: By connecting theory and practice through the co-requisite format, dancers can refine their technique more effectively.

  • Enhanced learning: Taking the classes together allows for a richer understanding of dance as a whole.

How will I know if a class is a co-requisite?
We will clearly mark co-requisite classes in our class descriptions and registration materials. Example: Let's say Ballet is a co-requisite class with Lyrical. This means students who register for Lyrical must also register for Ballet, and vice versa. Taking both classes together will help students develop the strength and flexibility needed to excel in their technique.
